I am starting to get really bothered by the fact that this sequence of words have been utterly thrown at me. Ever since I started seeing this particular, "girl" (I must say my mind scrambled when deciding whether to call this person of the opposite sex a girl, woman, lady, crush, bird, cutie... What is politically correct?) friends have been eagerly asking whether I have had sexual relations with her. What do I do? I digress. Is it me or people just like to gossip about peoples sex lives? What makes people ask this question relentlessly? I guess this query is directly referred to Men. Well, what bothers me not so much is not the question in general, but the violent, demeaning and malicious way in which the questions is posed.
I have been re-thinking and reflecting on my past behavior with Women. Frankly, I must say I am a bit ashamed of how I have participated in that type of jargon in the past. However, PLEASE! do not blame me. Blame my peers and this female reproachful society. Many people who are my age and perhaps generation are inclined to engage in this type of lingo or drivel whatever you'd like to call it.
Well, ever since taking a Women's studies class and reading a few books that deal with feminist issues, I’ve managed to change my whole perspective on women and their place on this planet. I may sound like a sissy to many, "macho" men right now and if indeed, you are reading this then perhaps you can learn from me that Women feel uncomfortable when they hear this type of speech. Anyway, the "Hit it" phrase gets thrown at me by some of my friends. How do I deal with this? These guys are my friends and well, I cannot agree with what they say but they are still my friends. What I do is simply ignore the question and deviate from it. I mean this person obviously means something to me and I of course share an interest in that person. I feel as if my friends are not treating this particular person with respect and feel that I am using this person as an object of pleasure. Believe I am not that type of guy.
AHHHHH! this is a very touchy subject for me. I am going to have to speak to this person about this subject manner and tell her how I feel.
